Finance Department

Under the Town Charter, the Town has a Finance Department, headed by the Director of Finance appointed by the Town Council upon recommendation of the Town Manager.  Reporting directly to the Town Manger, the Director of Finance is in charge of the administration of the financial affairs of the Town, with specific responsibility for authorizing the disbursement of all Town money, assessment and collection of taxes, preparing and administering the annual Town Budget, and for accounting of all financial transactions. Within the Finance Department are tax assessment, tax collections, information technology, purchasing, treasury, and accounting divisions.
